This summer impress your friends by purchasing outdoor pool furniture that will make them wish they had a pool area like yours. No pool area is complete without these great additions.
1. Beverage Box - When you are relaxing at your pool on a nice warm sunny day, you definitely need to have a drink or two. Instead of running inside every time you or one of your guests need a drink, buy a beverage box to keep your drinks cool. A beverage box is basically a nice looking cooler that will blend in as if it were furniture. They come in many styles, but my favorite is one made out of cedar to match my deck.

2. Deck Boxes - Similar looking to a beverage box, a deck box is larger and holds many items that you may need around the pool such as toys, cleaning nets, pool covers, or basically anything you can imagine. They come in many different styles and sizes including cedar to match your beverage box.
3. Furniture Covers - There is nothing worse than spending a small fortune on outdoor pool furniture and then have the sun and weather make it look unsightly in just a few short months. Furniture covers protect your investment and make your furniture look new for years to come.
4. Shower - A pool shower is a great accessory to have around the pool to wash chlorine out of your hair immediately after getting out of the pool. We all know what chlorine can do if you leave it in your hair for too long. A pool shower just hooks up to your outdoor hose and can be placed anywhere around the pool.
5. Poolside Tables - One of the most overlooked, must have outdoor pool furniture pieces, are small tables to place right next to the pool. These tables can be used to place many things on including phones or drinks for easy access rather than getting in and out of the pool.
6. Towel rack - It is always a great idea to have a towel rack close to your pool for you and your guests to keep towels clean and dry while you are in the pool. Many times towels get thrown on the ground close to the pool and end up getting wet, causing more work for you at the end of a great day at the pool.
7. Floating Pool Lights - One of my favorite pool accessories are lights. There are many different styles to choose from including floating pool lights that you place right in the water. Floating pool lights are fun and provide a nice ambiance when using your pool at night time.
8. Bar - Another option to the beverage box is going all out and having an outdoor bar in your back yard. You could choose to build a tiki bar, or go a more traditional route and have a concrete faced bar made.
9. Patio Umbrella - One of the most important pieces of outdoor pool furniture is an umbrella. Umbrellas can range in price from just 20 to 30 dollars all the way up to a couple thousand dollars. There are different features to ponder such as size, color, or being able to tilt your umbrella to different angles.
10. Hammock - And finally another one of my favorites is a good old fashioned hammock. There is nothing better than relaxing next to the pool on a hot day in a hammock with a nice breeze blowing. Don't worry, if you don't have two trees to tie it up to they make hammocks with stands build right in.
Many of these products can be found online for a discount so you do not have to spend a fortune making your pool area unique. Next time you are thinking about what your pool area needs, remember this list because without these accessories your pool is simply just not cool.
